@jasonscheer Don’t put much thought into it, it’s the Sooners. Their players, fans, coaches and media will NEVER acknowledge losing to a better team. It will always be the refs and them beating themselves.
@cshoap@MHver3 No, you said the media market alone, which is why I pointed out that you must be new to this. I would take what @MHver3 says very seriously.
@cshoap@MHver3 Like I said, you must be new to this because I’ve lived it for 12+ years. Do you think Rutgers or Maryland get invited to the BIG today? No way. But in 2014 media markets mattered. Not today in a steaming, cord cutting era. The face The U is in a top 20 market means very little.
@cshoap@MHver3 Because cable boxes still mean something? Talk brand or valuable rivalries, but media market doesn’t move the needle in this case when you have the state covered by teams with much, much larger alumni bases. Alumni is key to 2nd and 3rd tier rights, or do we pretend it’s 2015?
@MichealMcGuire You know they will pair us up first chance they get. I would be very surprised if there isn’t a Bedlam Bowl with the first 5 years… probably earlier.
@TheMikeHarris I don’t agree about last Saturday. Rewatching the broadcast both he and the play-by-play guy came at every situation from an OU angle and had to force themselves to say something pro-OSU when they caught them selves doing it. I usually think he does well, but not this time.
