The Rise of Offline Crypto: How GROOM’s Bluetooth Mesh Unlocks a New Era of Private Communication
Most people think privacy begins and ends with encryption. You open an app, it encrypts your messages, and that is supposed to be enough. But real privacy starts before encryption. It starts when you are not dependent on the internet at all.
This is where GROOM shifts the entire conversation. Crypto is no longer only about digital money. How is communication encrypted?
Noise protocol sessions with Curve25519 keys, ChaCha20-Poly1305 and replay protection secure every hop, while AES-256-GCM wraps shared channel passwords; in plain terms, each chat is protected by rotating locks so only intended devices can read or tamper.

Anonymous: wallets and identities stay local, so no personal info or metadata is uploaded; military-grade refers to audited primitives (Curve25519, ChaCha20) used by defense systems. “No data trails” means servers only relay opaque packets, no contact lists, message content, or wallet balances are stored centrally.

How can it be zero trace yet run on a public ledger?
$GRoom is zero trace because all the privacy happens before the transaction ever touches the blockchain. The ledger remains public, but we remove every metadata link that could trace a transaction back to a person, device, or location. Users create their wallet directly inside our app, with keys generated and stored only on their device, and there are no third party analytics or trackers inside the wallet. They can fund the wallet through any mixer before using offline payments. The transaction is then built and signed completely offline, converted into a raw hex, and passed through our Bluetooth mesh with no SIM, no IP, no WiFi, and no servers(the chat is destroyed right after conversation done, not even being stored locally). By the time it is broadcast online, the blockchain only sees a normal BTC transaction with no network trail, no identity trail, and no device trail, which is how we achieve zero trace while still using a public ledger.
Explain “device-to-device” relays?
Phones form mesh hops (Bluetooth) that forward encrypted packets peer to peer, so your message can travel through nearby GhostRoom users rather than a central server, similar to passing a sealed envelope down a human chain.
How does it function “without connectivity”?
Wallets cache UTXOs and balances locally, and the app can build transaction hexs offline; once any peer or gateway regains internet, it syncs the queued data.
