I have a savings account with Bank of India, and yesterday I received an SMS saying a cheque for ₹1,23,365 had bounced.

I never issued any cheque, and I don't even have a Bank of India chequebook.

When I checked my statement today, I noticed the amount had been debited and then credited back. Later, I received another SMS confirming a ₹590 deduction as a cheque bounce charge.

I contacted customer care, but they refused to help resolve the issue.

How can a cheque transaction I never initiated show up in my account, and why am I being charged for it?

Who is accountable for this, and when will the bank investigate this issue?

A government-owned bank should provide answers, not leave its customers confused and out of pocket.
Please investigate this urgently.

But now, Rajasthan Police have found that he is a Bangladeshi who entered India illegally around 25 years ago. Voter ID card and Aadhaar card were recovered from him.

It took 25 years to arrest an illegal Bangladeshi.

So far, 61 illegal Bangladeshis have reportedly been detained or identified by police during the ongoing operation in Ajmer.
