What’s the WORST customer support system you’ve ever dealt with?
I’ll go first - YouTube.
Generic replies, copy-pasted policy links, and a “final decision” no matter how much evidence you provide.
Who can beat that? :) 👇
@TeamYouTube
Yeah, of course. When a tweet goes viral and the creator has a huge following, suddenly there’s an apology, a closer look, the channel gets restored, and maybe even $1M wired to their bank account. 😂
But when it’s us smaller creators, our channels get terminated, we receive generic AI responses - or no response at all.
What a shameful system. YouTube is one of the biggest companies in the world, yet this is how creators are treated.
I’ve been without my 2 YPP channels for almost 2 months. I was terminated for “Circumvention” because my friend’s channel was wrongfully terminated for “Spam.” We’ve read the policies countless times and we are completely certain that neither of us violated them. This was simply a mistake by YouTube’s enforcement system.
I even contacted their Legal Support team yesterday and today, thinking that maybe someone would finally take a real look at the case.
Guess what? I got the same generic response twice.
There’s clearly no one actually looking at these cases. You can provide all the evidence you want, but apparently nothing happens until your post gets 1M views.
That’s honestly shameful.
Small creators deserve a REAL human review too. We deserve the same chance to be heard. 🙏
@TeamYouTube@nealmohan@FTC@YouTube@YouTubeCreators@Google
@YouTube@TeamYouTube@YouTubeCreators I seriously doubt YouTube termination appeals get real human reviews.
My wife’s cooking channel was terminated for “Circumvention,” even though she is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON from the primary terminated channel holder. She even verified her identity with a government ID.
Still, only templated responses.
Has ANY creator actually gotten a channel back after a rejected appeal?
@youtube_canada@YouTubeIndia
I want a genuine reply @TeamYouTube@YouTube ?!?!?!?!?! You made a wrong decision ,please check again a food channel do not broke spam and scam policy give me reply , it is mentally affecting me pls reply @TeamYouTube 😭
@YouTube@TeamYouTube@YouTubeCreators, please help us recover my wife’s brand channel, @quickfixwithbindu. She spent years building this independent cooking brand, and it should not be lost because of an incorrect association with my unrelated channel.
@YouTube@TeamYouTube My wife’s independent cooking channel @quickfixwithbindu was terminated for “Circumvention” after my completely unrelated AI-video channel was removed.
Different owners. Completely different content. Her channel is an established cooking brand built with original recipe videos. We only share some family account details, such as a phone number/recovery email, which may have caused an incorrect association.
How could an AI-video creator be circumventing a termination through his wife’s established cooking channel?
Please manually review @quickfixwithbindu as an independently owned channel. She should not lose years of work and her brand because of an incorrect account association.

@YouTube@TeamYouTube - your own system proves something is seriously wrong with your enforcement process.
You terminated my channel on Sept 27. Then on Sept 28, your system told me: NO strike, and I could still upload, post, and livestream.
How can I upload to a channel you already terminated?
This is a direct contradiction from YouTube’s own system. Yet instead of acknowledging the obvious failure and investigating it, you keep defending the termination without answering this basic question.
Stop giving me scripted responses. Explain how this happened.
I just saw a post from someone who says they were terminated for “Spam” - the guy doesn’t even have a single video on his channel. It was literally a brand-new channel with nothing on it.
This is exactly what I’ve been talking about. They’re just going down the line terminating whoever their system flags, and nobody seems to care.
Then the AI rejects your 1–2 appeals, and when you finally manage to reach YouTube through X, they send you a policy link and tell you the decision is “final” and that nothing can be done.
And honestly, that’s not even true. I’ve seen countless cases where creators were told the exact same thing - that the decision was final - and then a few days later their channels were restored after someone actually looked into the case, especially when the creator had a large following.
Meanwhile, people like us who literally created an X account just to try to reach YouTube and get help are basically left with nowhere to turn.
Thank you for taking such great care of your creators. :))
Instead of sending us generic AI responses and policy links that clearly show most of us didn’t violate anything, you could simply do the right thing and restore our channels, because we deserve to have them back. Thank you. :)

@TeamYouTube, please answer this directly: What exactly could I have done to save my channel?
I received a Community Guidelines WARNING-not a strike. I followed YouTube’s instructions, completed the required policy training, and stopped uploading videos. Yet my entire channel was still terminated.
If following YouTube’s corrective process cannot protect a creator from termination, what is the purpose of the warning and training?
My videos were AI-generated fictional content, created with reference to similar videos that remain live on other channels. If my content crossed a policy line, I genuinely wanted to correct it.
Creators need clear and consistent enforcement-not simply “the decision stands.” Please explain what action I should have taken after the warning to prevent termination. Other creators deserve to know this too. @YouTubeCreators@YouTube@youtube_canada@smallYTcreators #YouTubeCreatorSupport #YouTubeTermination #CommunityGuidelines #YouTubeAppeal #FairEnforcement
I’m not asking for my channel to be restored anymore. I’m asking for an answer I deserve.
A fair system gives you a warning when you make a mistake and punishment if you continue repeating it. I received a warning, accepted it, and uploaded NOTHING afterward-yet my entire channel was terminated.
So what exactly was the warning for? What chance was I actually given to correct my mistake?
How is it fair to warn a creator, give them an opportunity to correct their behavior, and then terminate the channel when they did exactly that?
I deserve a clear answer to this question.
🚨 EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH YOUTUBE - PLEASE READ THIS.
And especially creators fighting to get their WRONGLY TERMINATED OR DEMONETIZED CHANNELS BACK. This needs to change. We cannot keep allowing creators to lose everything overnight because of an automated system.
- It's been almost 2 MONTHS since my friend's channel was wrongly terminated - and because of that, my 2 YPP CHANNELS were terminated as well.
- I honestly expected more from the X community. A LIKE, REPOST OR COMMENT TAKES SECONDS, but for someone fighting to get their channel back, that engagement can mean everything.
- For me, this is one of the only ways I can reach the RIGHT PEOPLE AT YOUTUBE who might actually be able to look at our cases.
- And I know I'm not the only one. THERE ARE SO MANY CREATORS GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING EVERY DAY.
- Channels are being WRONGLY TERMINATED OR DEMONETIZED, and creators are left fighting for months just to get someone to properly listen.
- My friend genuinely believes he DID NOT VIOLATE YOUTUBE'S POLICIES, yet his channel was terminated.
- My 2 channels were then terminated under "CIRCUMVENTION" because of my connection to his channel.
- What makes this even worse is that we provide evidence, explain everything, appeal the decisions - and still receive GENERIC RESPONSES instead of someone actually looking at the full situation.
- YouTube has existed since 2005, and with a platform this massive, there needs to be a better way to protect legitimate creators from serious enforcement mistakes.
- If someone genuinely violates a serious policy, there should obviously be consequences. But when a creator believes they were WRONGLY TERMINATED, there needs to be a real opportunity for a HUMAN TO REVIEW THE FULL CASE.
- Nobody should wake up one day and see YEARS OF WORK, THEIR INCOME AND THEIR COMMUNITY GONE OVERNIGHT because an automated system got something wrong.
P.S. 🙏 PLEASE LIKE, REPOST AND COMMENT.
If you've experienced a wrongful termination, demonetization, account association or any other serious issue with YouTube, SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE COMMENTS.
Maybe this post can reach someone at @TeamYouTube who is actually willing to listen.
I genuinely hope this reaches enough people to help not just me, but other creators fighting to get their channels back too.
THIS HAS TO CHANGE. 🙏 @YouTube@nealmohan@FTC
@TeamYouTube My channel was terminated Sep 27; on Sep 28 I received notices that my AI animal-rescue videos violated animal-harm policy. No real animals were used or harmed. Please manually review the termination.

@YouTube@TeamYouTube A suggestion based on my experience as both a software engineer and a content creator:
YouTube needs to improve how the Circumvention Policy determines relationships between channels.
Automated systems may identify signals connecting accounts, but correlation should not automatically mean circumvention. Family members commonly share Wi-Fi, devices, phone numbers, recovery emails, and other resources.
When circumvention is appealed, the review should also consider actual ownership, channel creation date, content category, channel history, management history, and most importantly - evidence of an actual attempt to bypass enforcement.
My own experience is an example: my AI video channel was terminated for Community Guidelines violations. Shortly afterward, my wife’s established cooking channel was terminated for circumvention, despite having a different owner, completely different content, and existing long before my channel was terminated.
From both a software-engineering and creator perspective, account-association signals can be useful for detection, but they should trigger deeper review-not become sufficient evidence by themselves.
A strong human-review process should be able to distinguish genuine circumvention from legitimate independent creators within the same household.
