In the Army for 27 years. Went to war, was an engineer, commander and instructor. Fully fit and deployable for my entire career. Two years ago I caught EBV and now have #MECFS. Now housebound and have been for over a year. My family just told me they think I am faking it #pwME

@beckyschnitty Hey Becky. I spent 27 years in the army and didn’t do drugs. Now I have cannabis prescribed for my #mecfs. I think it’s very good for pain and anxiety. Being prescribed is great. Yeah - you’ll get high.

@KilcommonPhil There are most certainly genetic predisposition to illnesses. I too was diagnosed with CFS but if I want people to take my illness seriously, I say Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Let them look confused, then ‘commonly known as CFS’.
