🌿 GVMC’s Special Cleanliness & Beautification Drive 🌿

To make Visakhapatnam cleaner, greener, and more beautiful, GVMC has launched a special citywide drive focusing on cleanliness, beautification, and development.

🚔 SHE Teams (Sanitation & Health Enforcement Teams) have been deployed across the city to keep a close watch on those dumping waste in public places.

💢 Fines & Actions:

₹1,000 fine + license cancellation for commercial establishments dumping waste.

₹500 fine for individuals dumping waste in colonies, roads, or canals.

🛑 SHE Teams are also inspecting hotels, restaurants, and food stalls, seizing unhygienic food items and single-use plastics to protect public health.

GVMC Commissioner Sri Ketan Garg, IAS, urged citizens and traders to hand over segregated waste daily to GVMC collection vehicles and support this cleanliness initiative.

GVMC Commissioner Sri Ketan Garg IAS, directed engineering officials to speed up the culvert construction works at Isukathota Petrol Bunk (Zone-3, Ward No.22).

He inspected the site, reviewed the culvert’s length, width, and depth, and stressed smooth drainage of sewage and rainwater during monsoons.

To ensure public safety, he instructed officials to install “GVMC Work in Progress” display boards immediately and conduct daily monitoring to complete the works quickly.
