The 2nd meeting of the 36th Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) was held on 17th February, 2026. Mr. Bhaven Thacker, ZRUCC member and Executive Member of FOKIA, attended this meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Thacker expressed appreciation for the gauge conversion work between the Bhuj–Naliya line and the laying of a new BG line between Luna and Vayor – Lakhpat, and proposed to extend this line from Lakhpat onwards to Santalpur, Palanpur and Delhi.

He also requested the sanctioning of a railway line between Bhuj and Mandvi and initiatives for Vande Bharat Sleeper Express connectivity between Bhuj and Delhi and Bhuj and Mumbai, and urged the formulation of a comprehensive master plan for Western Railway operations in wake of fast industry activity in the Kutch region.

EXIM Container Traffic Movement at JNPA - Traffic restrictions allow Movement enroute & proceeding out with EXIM deliveries have been shut down for 18 hours a day.

Movement is allowed only between midnight and 6:00 AM. However, local CFS movements are being stopped intermittently adversely impacting the Turn around time of TTs which has created severe disruption of EXIM cargo flows.
Huge Cargo cargo pendency: Import containers from 8–9 days back remain undelivered as Terminal are not following mandated First In First Our (FIFO)

Unless the restrictions are withdrawn immediately, EXIM trade at JNPA faces a crisis & serious situation with national-level repercussions.
This disruption is entirely beyond the control of CFSs and the concerned stakeholders have been notified

CFSAI seeks immediate intervention of, MAHA Gov, a, Navi Mumbai Police, JNPA & JNCH Authorities & Ministries of Shipping, Commerce & Finance to restore normal EXIM container flows at JNPA.
