@ChristOnABike0@miriam_cates What you mean is, he spent the money he should not have touched. Does a saver with a bank account lose entitlement to their savings because the bank manager steals the fund?
@BWoodzy99 Please refer to the National Insurance Act t of 1946 and the stated objectives of the contract between the state and the citizen. The fact that the government recklessly spends the money invested does not alter the right of the citizens.
@miriam_cates There is also the additional point that the government chose to fritter away the NI contributions of the citizens. They could have been saved and invested. Don’t blame the people for the state’s greed.
@miriam_cates@miriam_cates. Please see the National Insurance Act 1946 which provided a “cradle to grave” social insurance system, tackling the “five giants” as a contract between the state and the individual, based upon contributions not means testing. It seems to contradict your assertion
@aDissentient@YvetteCooperMP Happy with corporal punishment where the outcome is likely to be positive. Also see the value of exemplary punishments to deter others. The present idea of short term removal intended to promote better behaviour is demonstrably a failure.
Not pleased with @superbikefactor . Bought a Honda Forza 350 2023 on 15th March. Waited 12 days for delivery. Arrived, not very clean, with a battery so decrepit that it won’t start. Attempts to contact the business by phone, by email, see absolutely no response. Annoying!
The British people were sold a lie on a pledge to cut bills by £300 at the election.
Labour are just moving the cost onto general taxation. This is a sleight of hand to cover up the cost of Miliband’s disastrous Net Zero policies.
@zarahsultana@Prisoners4Pal@DefendOurJuries It would be tempting to say that this outcome is an indictment of jury trials, but that would be an error. The outcome is patently unjust… that is a risk in a judicial system that allows decisions to be reached by peers, - possibly ignoring evidence.
@mikoh123 Because even the dogs on the street know that Tommy Robinson is not the far right extremist the incompetents in government and the media want to portray. Listen to the man! Fallible yes, but generally correct in his views..
@johnmcdonnellMP This is no huge victory for the policewoman injured by these activists ignorantly campaigning for a terrorist movement. This is no justice. The fact that you celebrate an abhorrent jury decision indicates your own total lack of morality.
@WilliamJHague William, Sorry, you have obviously missed the key point of a democratic system if you think that suppressing dissenting views is a good thing.
@JimfromOldham Given your significant moral stance on the abuse of social media, I am certain you must be in absolute support of a national inquiry into the systematic rape and abuse of young white girls by recently arrived residents in your constituency
X has become divisive, extreme and irrational by design.
But I honestly didn’t think elected politicians, however small in number, would line up to defend the platform or wilfully ignore the generation of sexual abuse images particularly against children.
Regulation needs to catch up and quickly. Not just to this issue, but to the systematic radicalisation and normalisation of extremism taking place in plain sight.
It’s time to show that no one, and no platform, is above the law.
