@MatthewNichol5 I loved the NY-Penn League, but if you saw the quality of some of its parks (and lights) you understood why teams didn’t want to expose their investments to those conditions (Batavia and Auburn were exceptions). PGCBL has been good for those towns.

@DmicMedia First league was baseball in 1986. I won it with rookies Jose Canseco, Danny Tartabull, and Wally Joyner. Dennis Leonard and Tommy John were on my pitching staff and Dave Righetti was my closer. We used USA Today and the Sporting News. 2015? My socks are older than that league

@bowtiedmeathead Yes, and emotional IQ is as important. Players who go farther not only see the game better, they handle success AND failure better, and they have tremendous work ethic. Combine intelligence and emotional stability with special athletic ability…well, that’s a truly rare find.

@CoachTORResani D3 is good the way it is. Just because D1 and D2 are limiting rosters doesn’t mean D3 has to absorb all the players they force out. Many wouldn’t handle the academic demands, or want to.

@EAPerformance_ Son was a 3B at an early age and for HS team. Played 1B at 15 bc his summer teams needed it. At 16 and 17 played SS and 2B for the same reason. In college became an OF and a good one. Your coach doesn’t need guys who play this or that position. He needs baseball players. Be one.
