Hon. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle leaves for New Delhi on Thursday, 17 September, on a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Government of India. The Cabinet approved the visit on Wednesday, and he will lead a six-member delegation of officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He will meet Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Friday. The visit also includes a high-level diplomatic dialogue hosted by former Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, an interaction with India Trade Promotion Organisation Chairman Javed Ashraf, a keynote at a Confederation of Indian Industry conference, and an academic discussion on development economics at the Delhi School of Economics.

Post-disaster reconstruction and wider economic, political and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries are the focus of the visit. He returns to Kathmandu on Saturday evening.

Capital Market Strengthening and Revival Action Plan, 2083 (पुँजी बजार सुदृढीकरण तथा पुनरूत्थान कार्ययोजना, २०८३)

The plan was announced by Hon. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and issued by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance on 2083/05/29 (BS). Set against the economic slowdown and the damage to infrastructure, including listed hydropower projects, from the Bhotekoshi flood of Bhadra 10, 2083, it sets out 21 points of immediate reform and revival measures.
