78 years after America’s independence, the US was a preferential democracy and an occupying power. It took 150 years to change that reality; 78 years after Israeli independence Israel is much same. Instead of giving up on the project; why not try to make it work?
On this Eid, amid ongoing conflict and hardship, may peace, tolerance, and hope unite us. Let compassion and understanding bridge divides through dialogue, not destruction.
Wishing peace and calm to the world.
Eid Mubarak. Kurban Bayramı kutlu olsun.
Today, Muslims across Canada celebrate the start of Eid al-Adha, a celebration of generosity, compassion, and service — values at the heart of building a stronger, more prosperous future for all.
To all those celebrating, Eid Mubarak.
I congratulate Muslims in Ukraine and around the world on the holiday of Kurban Bayram, Eid al-Adha. May this holiday bring reliable peace, blessings, and harmony to every family.
For its part, Ukraine is doing a lot to ensure that as many families as possible can celebrate this year’s Kurban Bayram in true safety. We are protecting life here – in Ukraine, in Europe – and also supporting the protection of life in partner countries in the Middle East, the Gulf region, and the South Caucasus. Dangers must not prevail in any part of the world.
We also remember our Ukrainian Crimea, from where Russia’s war against Ukraine began in 2014. And we are grateful to all those who do everything to support Ukraine and our people, who condemn the Russian occupation and help us bring people back from Russian captivity. We remember the Crimean political prisoners held by Russia and are working to bring them home to Ukraine. It is very important that the entire free world also does not forget those who are deprived of their freedom today. May this holiday strengthen all kind hearts.
Kurban Bayramı hayırlı ve mübarek olsun!
Eid Mubarak!
Eid Mubarak!
Today as we honor Prophet Ibrahim, Eid al-Adha reminds us that sacrifice is not a burden. It is an opportunity to see ourselves as part of something larger. To extend a hand to those who need it most.
I am honored to be New York City's first Muslim Mayor and I am determined to lead through solidarity. Together, we are working to ensure every New Yorker can afford the groceries, housing, and child care they need.
Our solidarity is our strength. Eid Saeed, New York.
