the best people I know treat their work and their life as a series of sprints, not a marathon
you were put on this earth to starve and then to feast. to
abstain and then to indulge. it is a profound sin to waste your one life in the perfectly optimized middle. sow and reap.
Non-crypto related update
Outside of crypto, I’ve made several investments. The one I'm most excited about is FPF, for their existing and upcoming new facilities in Guangzhou.
If you’re into pickleball and happen to be in GZ or nearby, you should definitely swing by and give FPF a try.
The partners/team are absolutely solid individuals. The feedback so far on the ground is that it's one of the best pickleball setups in the 大湾区.

Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this.
got reminded of summer 2023 when i had to explain what CLOB meant to a team of s̶c̶a̶m̶m̶e̶r̶s̶ builders raising $1.5M for a perp dex because they genuinely had no idea what flow their project ran on
I have good imagination but it's hard for me to imagine a scenario where this playbook with its countless copycats won't end badly eventually
My base case is that bitcoin trade has 1-3years in it and then we will see something buckling
Would say many Bitcoin silk road era OGs are not very happy by ETFisation and Saylorisation of BTC and are slowly twapping out and thats why we don't see BTC crushing ATHs everyday even though there are more and more corp treasury buyers announced daily
What could BTC OGs be twapping into is a separate interesting mental exercise
But idk tho I could be also wrong, nfa, long fartcoin, etc
Founder of Airwallex hasn't seen a single use case for crypto over the last 15 years
Post like these are confounding and frankly make no sense to me. Here's a question - do you think Jack's answer would change if he were dropped into Afghanistan or Syria with all his money?
Would he park all his cash in a bank in Kabul? If he didn't, would he be able to get his funds out of the country onto an international platform? Even if he could, would it be a platform that he could trust? On the platform, would he be able to access treasuries and dollars? Would the platform then let him move his funds off the platform if he so chose?
When you take a step back. There are literally billions of people across the world that struggle with these exact problems. And for them, crypto is the only viable solution. It is a trustless way for people around the world to self custody their wealth. It lets them move their money without anyone's permission. And it gives them access to a whole host of financial products they'd never see locally
Crypto as a technology is simply a permissionless, trustless system that gives individuals sovereignty. And it solves a whole range of problems that many of us are very fortunate that we don't have to experience
1/ quick slide rip from my @blockworks DAS talk - Believe in Something
this is where it all began. everything we talked about ten years ago when we started building the world's first bitcoin investment firm has come to pass.
so why isn't bitcoin a million dollars?
