Local workers are invited to tour a show home on Sunday as properties at a shared ownership development in Bicester are snapped up: https://t.co/2VHW18N3Xh @buildafuture
@NicholasMawer Good point but what about situations like Bicester Gateway where the developers are changing things like the road layout to suit themselves, pre-construction despite them clearly knowing the limitations of the site from day 1?
YES. As we have discovered in #Bicester & #Banbury. Developer proposes something stupid. Council Planners say no. Developer appeals. Financially constrained Council forced to says yes to avoid costs. Result: piecemeal and disparate development. Is it more Catch22 or Kafka?
@DanSames@Cherwellcouncil Were in an age of mobile phone and map based navigation so is a network of signs, many of which are incorrect, really a good investment of public money?
It's a pity @Cherwellcouncil or #Bicester Town Council didn't do something like this. It would really help local people explore their local countryside. Instead they gave us silly signs that tell us how to get around our own town by the most unnecessarily circuitous routes.
In our Big Survey, people said that public footpaths were important to them but many didn’t know where they were. We fed this back to the Parish Council and they have started by replacing the damaged map on the High Street :-)
Hi @HealthyBicester we have been trying to contact you for two weeks through Twitter and Facebook (we cannot find any other contact details) but without a response. Is everything ok?

@_robertjnixon All we did was suggest that Victoria asking questions in the HoC about NI seemed unusual give N. Oxon is her constituency. Even her website says that she is only able to ask questions concerning her constituency. It seems unusual and we were blocked.
Our MP #VictoriaPrentis talking about inclusive access for all to #publicTransport (we would have RT'ed it but Victoria seems to have blocked us 🤔). https://t.co/ZFPpnzRPFR
What is your experience of the new Rodney House roundabout in #Bicester? Good or bad? Did @OxfordshireCC get it right? Let us know. @TheOxfordMail@JACKfmOxford@BBCOxTravel

#Bicester’s #AirPollution issues could be improved if more used public transport. Obviously it would need improving first. This French city have introduced free public transport as a solution. @OxfordshireCC @Cherwellcouncil#victoriaprentis https://t.co/Md5FTSIs33
We must give confidence to communities living in and around #CaMkOx corridor that #Infrastructure will accompany economic and housing growth - and be delivered on time. Ahead of #Budget2018 we're asking Government to commit to the following priorities. See https://t.co/y7wgF0Qplf
@NicholasMawer@EconomicHeart Even their wording in this graphic doesn't explicitly say 'funding a replacement route'. It just says 'removing conflict'. These could just be weasel words to appease the people of Bicester. I hope that as our Town and District Councillor, you are seeking explicit details?
@NicholasMawer@EconomicHeart They have been rather vague about their objectives. I think their official release said something along the lines of 'eliminating the level crossing' which isn't necessary clear or a good thing for our growing town...
@HealthyBicester Hi, we dropped some questions into you 2 weeks ago at your exhibition in the Library but we havent received a response yet. Could you email them over please? Sorry couldn't make it last Friday.
A FANTASTIC example of what true investment in cycling infrastructure can deliver. We do hope that @Cherwellcouncil and @OxfordshireCC can raise their game. It's a great and SAFE day out for cycling #Bicester families!

Excellent article by @GeorgeMonbiot that highlights the of transparency or local democracy involved in the Oxford-Cambridge Expressway. The Government will announce it's preferred route shortly, only then will they allow consultation. #Bicester#OxCam https://t.co/R5vsgt3xSD
A short hop last night to the theatre and a ride in the new electric London cab. “Saves me £80 a week on fuel” says the cabbie. An electric cab costs £55K vs £46K for a regular black cab, “but I’ll soon recoup that”...
