Today I held an assembly just for Y11 girls to boost morale. I read them a letter I’d written for them. It was without a doubt the most nervous, & closest to tears I’ve been in ages. I then handed each of them a personalised card with comments from their parents, staff & peers💛

My sad mood was really put into perspective when I realised I hadn’t taken my antidepressants for a week... don’t forget to take your medication kids!! It’s good for you!!

Time to get back on it and believe in my teaching skills 🙏🏼

@habeebahtkhan Yes I need to do that! I was worried about my lesson this morning but the year 7s seemed to be interested and engaged... we will see if that lasts for their lesson tomorrow which is after lunch 😂

Does anyone else feel like they are going to spend a few hours making the best lesson ever, but then you will teach it and the whole class just looks at you blankly... not understanding a word you're saying?? 😰😰

@missgul_english Good luck!! You’re going to smash it. I highly recommend noting down the model answers you want from all your questions, as well as leading questions you can ask the students whilst they’re on task. It helps me feel less on the spot 🥰 I believe in you!!
