@andyburnham It seems you are going to attack the pensioners again ( triple lock )
If that happens
You wont be getting my vote come an election
You will be finished
There should be both a triple lock on pensions ( we have some of the worst pensions in Europe for one of Europe's hardest working workforce) and social care spending.
Maybe the PM can start looking at where the money has gone in the last 25 years, who it went to and what it was spent on, alongside the routine and corrupt current practice of denying people social care who are having to sell homes and everything they have despite qualification for said care. Bookmark this because it will be a bigger scandal than Post Office and PPE combined.
We're a rich nation who's people ( out collective fault for voting for people and manifestos that change mid term, something that should be a legally binding document by the way) have worked hard for local and national services, care in old age, and a modest buffer to live on in retirement.
This is neither woke, lefty, righty or middly. It's what people vote for only to be u-turned by all governments.
Norway has 3 trillion in the bank, great pension provision, child care, public services and elderly care. They don't have a magic money tree nor have things like the City of London which should be generating huge revenue privately that also benefits us publicly. They simply hold politicians to account, make sound national decisions and aren't tempted by snake oil salesmen promising the earth but delivering zero to them but plenty to pals.
We do the opposite.
“Labour would freeze your council tax”
“Not a penny more on your council tax”
“No ifs, no buts”
Be a shame if we all shared this Labour lie before the local elections.
You simply can’t believe anything Keir Starmer says. Don’t vote Labour.
Sharron is spot on. The public has always been told that National Insurance is directly linked to one’s state pension. Whether state income in retirement is a pension or a benefit is irrelevant - it was a contract *and* it remains an enduring obligation
@bphillipsonMP@educationgovuk None of what you are doing was in the manifesto
Attack and let down the old, disabled, waspi women.
Shame on you and the Labour Party
Wish the May elections were happening in Knowsley in May
You would see what people think
@anneliese_midge@GMBNWI We voted them in we can vote them out
I will never vote Labour again and I have always voted Labour
There's no difference between these and the Tories
In fact there worst
Out! Out! Out!
Starmer didn’t just lie when he said he would freeze energy prices.
He made up a load of nonsense about an impoverished background.
Then told us all he would tax the obscene profits of energy companies.
The truth and this Prime Minister have no relationship to each other.
Jemma Forte, "MPs should not make promises to bring our energy bills down, but when they're in government bills go up"
"With the water companies as well"
"These are basic utilities, things that we all need, flipping heck, nationalise them. Privatisation has failed"
With todays news that energy bills are set to rise again in April, when he interviewed the head of Ofgem last year Adil Ray read out the huge profits made by the profiteering energy companies & the massive salaries paid to bosses
All the head of Ofgem could do was nod along
Grangemouth workers have slammed Labour's £1 billion pledge to INEOS chairman Jim Ratcliffe to redevelop Old Trafford while he closes the refinery
https://t.co/O5dZWj9hVX
Ineos - a private company:
Owns MU. Labour builds them a stadium.✅
Setting up a Belgium plant. Labour helping them do it.✅
Closing oil producing Scotland’s only refinery. Labour says can do nothing. Because it’s private company.
See how it works now?
Labour Government promises to back Ineos owners Old Trafford project and has also been given a £600million loan guarantee by the UK Labour Government for a refinery in Belgium.
I thought Labour promised to save Grangemouth!
.@BrianLeishmanMP explains that even as the govt does nothing while INEOS plans to close Grangemouth, they have given the company a £600m loan guarantee to build a plant in Belgium
A clip is then played of @AnasSarwar before the election saying Labour would save Grangemouth
