@swiggy great milestone but we'd like to return the balloon gift - it sadly does not fit with 2024 environment concerns. Google 'choking by balloons' to know hazards to infants + issues of litter, soil, water pollution, risk to birds, wildlife++

So #NoBalloonsPlease!!

[Bidyut Nath @bidyutnath]

@PMOIndia @moefcc please discontinue tricolor balloons release this 15Aug & call for balloonfree celebrations. This I-Day, 55K eco-conscious citizens petition for #NoBalloonsPlease to honor our Mother India without harming Mother Earth🙏 https://t.co/38mHmceRCY @BeautifulBluru

While the government is saying these are waste processing units, but look at the budget allocation, Rs 45000 crores to set these up and just Rs 0.65 per kg to process it.

[DivyaTiwari_for_CircularEconomy @DivyatiwariC]

The city has run out of landfills hence what the government is planning is to buy 4 plots in the 4 corners of the city, further away, so these diesel guzzling monsters will travel further. Land would obviously be farm/forest land cause the powerful will not allow it near them.

[DivyaTiwari_for_CircularEconomy @DivyatiwariC]

And this is not all, waste is piled up in smaller autos across the city as well because the autos empty their waste in the compactors, they are stuck near the landfill https://t.co/3yybo9cgbi

[DivyaTiwari_for_CircularEconomy @DivyatiwariC]

You may get impatient watching this video, but please do. This is the unending line of waste compactors, each with 10 tons of waste. One day's waste from Bangalore piled up because villages around mittanganahalli landfill are not allowing dumping.

[Shanthi Tummala @TummalaShanthi]

#bisleri @BisleriZone Bisleri water bottles major contributor for litter. But we ask them where is their social responsibility as Producers ?? They should comeup with a plan to buyback bottles. #moef @moefcc @CMofKarnataka @PMOIndia @CPCB_OFFICIAL #kspcb @Comm_dhfwka @BBMPCOMM

Thanks @cornerhouseind 😄for your quick action.

[Chiku @chiku65]

Thank you @CornerHouse_Ind for installing a water dispenser with immediate effect at your Lavelle Road outlet.

[Bidyut Nath @bidyutnath]

@chiku65 @CornerHouse_Ind Agree. We cannot say No to water - especially if their is a filter.

[Chiku @chiku65]

@CornerHouse_Ind We all love your ice cream and value you but yesterday I went to your store at Lavelle Road and asked for a water refill, your person over there was like you have to buy a plastic water bottle and won't refill.

Unsustainable practices by you are unacceptable.
