Omari Elias, Kapaun, Sr. RB
Omari Elias, a 5-10 192-pound senior, rushed for 3,100 yards this season on 392 carries for an average of 7.9 yards per carry. It was one of the greatest seasons in state history for a RB in any class & he did it at the 5A level. Elias had 40 rushing touchdowns in leading the Crusaders to their first state championship appearance since 1987. He also became the all-time leader in city league for rushing yards. Elias had 280+ rushing yards and 4 TDs in the state title game. After making the second 11 last year, Elias made the Top 11 this year and also was named the All-Classes Offensive Player of the Year from SIK. Last season he was the non-senior POY. He has committed to Air Force.

Junior RB Omari Elias of Kapaun Mt. Carmel broke the single-game rushing record last night with an incredible 363 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over Westminster, CO.
Elias rushed for 2,140 yards and 24 TDs last season as a sophomore.

Nathan Fury (6’0, 200 lbs) of Kapaun Mt. Carmel will be a key leader of the Crusader defense this fall after a huge junior season where he logged 134 tackles.
Kapaun advanced to the 5A semifinals in 2021 and fell just short by 1 point to eventual state runner-up Maize.
