Hey I’m the creator of this video! I didn’t make it in collaboration with Bohemia, they reached out after seeing it on their feeds. I just decided to make it pretty much on a whim!

I definitely didn’t intend for it to undermine the community and give the platform itself all of the credit. I just think it’s very cool that ARMA, a series that has provided some of the best gaming experiences a lot of us have had, is somewhat responsible for some of gamings biggest trends, one way or another.

But if I were to do the video again I’d absolutely put more emphasis on the community. I totally agree that it’s an almost symbiotic relationship between platform and community, and I feel like I missed getting that across in the video. Always grateful for the community and modders, literally nothing in the video would have happened without them.
