🇮🇳Owais Yaqoob (6-1) - Lightweight
🟢Defeated 🇧🇬Delyan Georgiev (3-0) via 1st round KO at Brave CF 107

If there was one prospect who significantly raised his stock this weekend, it was Owais Yaqoob. The Indian lightweight extended his winning streak with a first-round knockout over previously unbeaten Delyan Georgiev at Brave CF 107, delivering one of the biggest wins of his young career.

With this performance, Yaqoob may have established himself as India's top MMA prospect. That's an important distinction in a country of more than a billion people, where every major promotion is eager to find the next breakout star. Unlike many Indian fighters who have historically lacked access to elite coaching and training environments, Yaqoob is already developing under two of the sport's most respected figures, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Javier Mendez. Training alongside world-class athletes at one of MMA's premier gyms gives him a foundation that few Indian prospects have enjoyed.

The victory itself was just as impressive as the result. Georgiev entered the bout undefeated as a professional and carried a stellar 17-1 amateur record that included victories over respected prospects such as Eduard Kexel, Heecher Sosa, Ali Wasuk, and Kiru Sahota. Fighting in front of his home crowd in Bulgaria, Georgiev never found his rhythm as Yaqoob controlled the opening round before ending the fight with a clean right hand. While the stoppage may have come a touch early, Yaqoob was clearly dictating the action and looked well on his way to a convincing victory.

Now riding three consecutive finishes against increasingly difficult opposition, Yaqoob's trajectory is pointing firmly upward. At 28 years old, he'll need to keep that momentum going if he wants to reach the sport's biggest stage, but the pieces are already in place. With elite coaching, a strong platform in Brave CF, and the potential to become the face of Indian MMA internationally, Yaqoob is quickly becoming a prospect worth following.
