This is a rant👿.
Over time I've noticed this trend: a brand is great on social media and creative campaigns (TV ads, billboards, product placements, influencer marketing). But suck at email marketing.
I call it the social to email gap.

It feels like an exaggeration to say but Dawn changed my life and the way I view sci-fi. There's this connectedness to Mother Earth and a tenderness in the story that's often missing from sci-fi. I loved it so much.
I'm a solopreneur looking for a good collab with a bookkeeping and accounting tool.
My bookkeeping and accounting are a bit of a nightmare.
I'm interested in a partnership where we build together in public. In other words, I document my transition to your tool.
@THETemmieOvwasa Reminds me of a video I watched talking about this same thing. And just like you said, the solution prescribed was to do more exciting and interesting things.
When I see architecture like this, I sigh. Was passing by the govt school at Kantoma yesterday and I thought how lovely the roof of the complex must have looked in it's heyday. Our lack of maintenance culture in Nigeria destroys beauty and elegance.
You don't see it, and if you don't go searching you'd never know. But this connectivity is so important to the soul of creation and the essence of artistic beauty.
Unrelated, but there is an invisible thread connecting everything to each other. One thing inspires another then inspires another then inspires something else that you like...
whenever i’m feeling creatively stagnant, i listen to the 10th anniversary edition of random access memories by daft punk. they recorded a version of each song that reveals the behind the scenes riffing and conversation that went into each production, and it’s truly a masterpiece. the song ‘the writing of fragments of time’ i find particularly profound, because you are able to hear in real-time the moments where they have these breakthroughs talking to each other about specific lyrics and melodies, how they bounce ideas off each other with so much joy. there is such incredible soul, life and beauty captured in these songs, and to be able to hear the real life moments that went into their creation never fails to strike me with inspiration and deep gratitude for the creative process. highly recommend if you’re ever feeling stuck or needing a reminder of how awesome creating art is
The results of a 2024 study are among a growing number suggesting the heartbeat quietly shapes how the brain processes information.
These findings also raise the uncomfortable possibility that internal rhythms frequently treated as background noise may be subtly skewing results in neuroscience experiments.
Some researchers are now warning about the issue, and a paper published in April lays out guidelines for standardizing how studies should document and account for these internal rhythms.

Tried an humble re-creation of little Deborah's Back-to-school day. While the pieces are considerably different, the spirit of the style (comfort + hip) is what I copied.
BTW, can't believe I was this small once. 😅😸
