@EddieJamro84189@Catholic_bro "inspiration" 😁
Well, be that as it may, Scripture says, “Away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 5:8
@EddieJamro84189@Catholic_bro You're confused. You said that the thoef was in the grave. And he'd have to be in your view, since you think the went to "sOuL sLeeP." So is the grave paradise?
@joshwhitlatch Unless you deny Christ (2 Tim 2:12), refuse to forgive (Matt 6:15), fall away from grace (Gal 5:4), trample the Son of God after receiving the truth (Heb 10:26–29), fail to endure to the end (Matt 24:13), or live in mortal sin without repentance (Gal 5:19–21), sure.
@JennyWakefiel12@BibleInContext1@KirkDogless Scripture commands those in Christ to intercede for each other. If death can’t separate us from Christ, then neither can it separate us from His Body. The Scriptural case for Heavenly intercession is undeniable (Rev 5:8; Rev 8:3-4; Heb 12:1; Lk 15:7, 10; Lk 20:38; 2 Mac 15:12-16)
@bamamaga3@swamthetiber25@EddieJamro84189 Purgatory is simply the process by which we are prepared for entry into heaven, where we're "purged" of all attachments to sin and the heartache it caused us and others. I think you'd acknowledge that SOMETHING changes in that transition from physical death to eternal life, yes?
@joshwhitlatch Catholics trust Christ so much we refuse to reduce Him to a slogan. He saves us, gives us new birth, pours His love into our hearts, and makes us “pleasing to God” by grace. Your problem isn’t Catholic philosophy. It’s that Scripture is deeper than a bumper sticker.
@ManassehRJones False dilemma fallacy. Straw man fallacy.
When you deny perseverance, you’re bragging that your so-called gospel gives “eternal life” to people who don’t obey or remain in Christ. That’s not salvation; that’s arrogance with a Bible verse taped to it.
@MJKelleyII Correct. Just like the “sinner’s prayer” doesn't appear as a word-for-word prayer in the Bible. The claim, however, was that the prayer is BIBLICAL. You’re refuting “verbatim in the Bible” when the claim was “biblically based.”
That's moving the goalposts, a logical fallacy.🥱
@EnslavedTruth@snewsh619@TruthFramed In retrospect, I should have also showed some of the Orthodox figures RETURNING to the Catholic Church (e.g. Ukrainian Greek).
@MJKelleyII@Lex_Ludendi "uneducated Roman Catholic wannabe apologist"
You're a hypocrite.
Also.... are you trying to start a grift? Because it seems like you're trying to a start a grift.
@MJKelleyII We're well aware, dude. Lol
That the Church survived and thrived afterwards is evidence of the Holy Spirit's guidance and protection.
But I appreciate your cope. 👍🏻
@BiblicGrounded@swamthetiber25 Galatians 5:4:
“You are SEVERED from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.”
You cannot sever something that isn't first joined.
