Still learning. Still growing. Still a work in progress.
I don’t have everything figured out, and that’s okay. I’m grateful for every lesson, every mistake, every setback, and every new beginning.
God is still working on me, and I trust the process. 🙏🏽✨
A major advantage in life: Refusing to count yourself out. You can lose momentum. Make mistakes. Take the wrong path. Start late. None of it matters as much as your willingness to begin again. Never underestimate the power of deciding you are done living beneath your potential.
A reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear:
“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity.”
Hanging out with the right people is part of locking in. Don't turn down opportunities to socialise because you're staying indoors to read book and press computer.
My favorite line from Atomic Habits has been living in my head rent-free:
“It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
i dare you to be as delusional as possible for 30 days. compliment strangers. ask for things that feel out of your reach. take shot after shot after shot. you won’t hit them all, but you’ll hit a couple. but what you hit isn’t the point. it’s about rewiring what you see as possible. when you remove your self imposed limits, you realize they were never real to begin with. anything is possible my friend. but it’s up to you to pursue it.
In a world where many doubt the supernatural, it is important that those who have experienced the hand of God in a tangible manner never keep silent about it.
If you’ve ever experienced a healing or miracle, share in the comments.
Someone might desperately need your testimony to be encouraged.
My hot take is that people are actually marrying too late.
All things being equal, you should be married by 22/23.
Na economics dey make all these things take long.
And I have a few reasons.
1. If you are supposed to remain a virgin till marriage (for both sexes), then it is very unrealistic to expect someone who started puberty at 14-16, to wait another 15 years.
2. You are supposed to learn your spouse together in marriage. All your firsts, are supposed to be with your spouse. But when you have had too many relationships, it becomes really really hard to unlearn and relearn with your spouse. You become a collection of patterns and habits formed with different people, and your spouse bears the brunt of all those experiences
3. If you plan to have children, the earlier the better. But in terms of health, and in terms of longetvity. Having your first kid at 35, means that you will be attending their uni graduation at 50+, and if you have multiple kids, you might retire before you are done training the. Meanwhile, if you have your last kid at 35, you're esseentially done training your kids by 50+
So yes, marry early if possible
There is nothing you want to do outside marriage that you cannot do inside it.
Anything that can be taught can be learned.
I have discovered that a lot of people like talking up and exaggerating their University courses just to fuel their ego and do reverse gatekeeping.
They want you to believe their course is too complex, too special or too superior for anyone else to understand. It’s so funny lmaoo
But the truth is very simple- anything that can be taught can be learned.
It may take time and effort but it can be learned.
I don’t know why we insert “by” between “building yourselves up in your most holy faith” and “praying in the Holy Spirit” when we read Jude 20.
A rough paraphrase of Jude’s thought would be:
“Beloved, keep yourselves in God’s love by continually building yourselves up in the faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, and waiting for Christ’s mercy.”
“Praying in the Holy Spirit” is not grammatically attached only to “building yourselves up.” Rather, building, praying, and waiting are parallel means by which believers obey the central command to keep themselves in the love of God.
I know someone will say, “Doesn’t prayer build us up?” Of course it does. But that’s not what Jude is saying. People did this thing with the John 10:10 tweet and it was really frustrating to see.
You should have things you don't do, places you don't go to, substances you don't take, words you don't say
By all means, have Principles and Standards.

A very good test of this is to look at their life and see how many hard and difficult decisions have they made because they believe they heard God.
It's easy to go to church, or pray loudly, or post sermons.
The hard part, is to make the seemingly irrational decisions that shows God's hand.
How many times has your partner make a key life decision based on "I heard God"
Not "my pastor told me", but "I heard God"
I mentioned it on my status earlier this year.
If you want to know someone that actually loves God, there are certain indicators that you can check.
For example, what financial decisions have they made that is uncomfortable, solely based on a conviction from God's word.
What decisions have they made in their love walk? Like forgiving someone that hurt them, or apologizing even when they are in the right.
If you actually know God, it's not hard to know someone that loves God.
Above all, love God. And choose someone that loves, honours, and respects Him.
On Once Saved Forever Saved:
If what is meant is that new birth is irrevocable, it's true. But if it is that those born of the kingdom will necessarily inherit no matter what they do, then it's false.
Older ministers should normalise shutting down the excesses of "campus ministry show biz" when invited.
The other day, during a campus meeting, before I began my pep talk, I had to insist that the "fake bodyguards" standing at the podium return to their seats and hopefully listen to God's word.
These people are young.
If they are innocently naive, then we must be able to prune their excesses and show them that true ministry is about selfless service and stooping low so that Christ will be exalted.
Otherwise, we will successfully mass-produce a generation of future ministers who are skilled in self-exaltation in the order of Lucifer instead of the meek and quiet spirit of Christ; the Servant of God.
The only issue is that you are not likely going to be invited again because of your insistence on truth but at least you would have demonstrated that ministry is first about what God wants and not what we like or enjoy.
