@BenjaminHylen@ResilientGrower Winstrips from Neversink Farms. heat pads from Bezosphere and I get my seed starting mix from Dairy Doo, terrible name, but good stuff right here in the Mitten.
@ResilientGrower This setup is excellent, lucked into some reflexit for free, and only have 10 seed trays, but all the same, an enormous amount of food here. I will say the larger heat pads are key. 4 plugs instead of 16.
@no_grave_@timsondrup Focaccia is what you make with the overproved pizza dough. Not a wife competition, but we get sourdough bread, and sourdough bagels, granola, pizza and all dinners. I'm the pancake man though.
@ResilientGrower Incredibly helpful. I did this for the first time last year, and this thread gave me some tips for this year, like the story stick for beds and paths, and flame weeding around the edges.
“Let me now put in a word as to the cause of this success with our garden. It was not owing to our knowledge of gardening, for we made many blunders not here recorded, and lost crops of two or three different things in consequence. Neither was it owing to excessive richness of the ground. But I lay it to the unsparing warfare kept up upon the weeds, which thus prevented their running away with the nourishment intended for the plants, and kept the ground constantly stirred up and thoroughly pulverized. I have sometimes thought one good stirring up, whether with the hoe, the rake, or the cultivator, was as beneficial as a good shower.”

@ResilientGrower Looking forward to seeing these photos, our germination chamber is in a room of our house, which is fine for this year, but next year it'll have to be in the garage, and it gets chilly in there.
@ResilientGrower This is a timely episode as I just bought a bunch of t posts for a fence around my garden. Y'all have saved me some time and heartache now.
Eagerly anticipating the hot gate talk next week.
@ResilientGrower Too early to tell. Winter was mild around here, in the pleasant peninsula. and temps have been above normal. Weather was warm enough to tap sugar maples in January which was quite early.
