@deaflibertarian because so many people call Down syndrome children and other children with disabilities blessings then leave the families out to dry when the families are trying to afford medicine and not enough people are talking about that
@uberminch@herandrews You're missing a huge part to this discussion. We absolutely kill them just with a letter that starts with "your claim for health insurance has been denied"
@just_fedup What hits me are parents who claim to be pro-life then vote for a president that makes fun of disabled people, cuts trillions from Medicaid and leaves families taking care of their sick children out to dry
@MikeeESC@JoelWBerry the lucky few then cuz I can assure you as someone who's dealing with a case far more complex than Down syndrome the system does not work
@MikeeESC@JoelWBerry Ummm no they don't. I have personal experience with this. Claims are rejected daily, it's a CONSTANT fight with insurance for medication, surgeries, equipment, nursing care, the things that actually matter.
@TampaBayAndrew@JennMGreenberg Oh Christians do it too they just phase it like this:
"We have denied your claim for life saving medication because it's too expensive. Signed, United Healthcare/Blue Cross Blue Shield/Humana/Cigna/Medicaid"
@Amer1canGaurd@JamesTate121 You’re all for giving someone a chance but the instant life saving care gets a “claim denied” letter your support evaporates. You aren’t pro life you grandstand on a house of cards.
Murdering children is wrong unless their healthcare gets denied…
@scribe_ezra@iamAtheistGirl When are the pro-lifers going to give a shit about the UHC denial letters families with special needs children get?
When life saving medication costs $25k/mo very few pro-lifers open their wallets and pour into the collection basket.
