My mom fits reading glasses on people who have not read in years. My dad hands them a Bible they can finally see. That is the whole operation. Simple. Real. https://t.co/cxNefVIBnK
My parents have spent 13 years doing medical missions in five countries. Right now it is Belize. Free clinics. Free medicine. Free reading glasses. Nobody pays a dime but them. Help them keep going. https://t.co/gCSg6HKnei
Be exactly who you wanna be in life 🇺🇸😎👌
After a long day, I like going out on the lake and fishing for either bass or catfish.
Right now, I’ve been in a really big catfish mood, as I’ve watched a lot of of these Youtubers catch some massive catfish, unlike I’ve ever seen in my life.
I figured if they can do it, I can 100% do it too, just like anything else in my life.
So instead of running for public office, or calling out the local predator, I’ve decided to do much more fishing content like I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.
In order to release what I want to release, it takes time to set up, and it also takes resources.
I plan on putting together a multiple part series detailing how Don Nichols, Patti Hair Nichols and Amanda Williams caught almost or a little over 1000 catfish this spring at the seventh annual Nichols catfish tournament at Lake O The Pines.
Dad and I caught some of the biggest catfish together that we’ve ever caught in our lives, and even better, we caught it all on video.
30 days of catfishing.
The good, the bad, the scary, and everything in between.
I can’t wait to release this project to you soon, and all I ask is that you continue following, share these updates with your friends, leave a comment and let me know what type of catfish footage you want me to show, and just continue to support what I am building.
Thank you all so much 🙏
Nobody warns you that the hardest part comes after you get out.
The cell has a schedule. Somebody tells you when to eat, when to move, when the light goes off. You hate every second of it, and then you walk out into a world with no schedule at all and realize you have forgotten how to hold your own day together.
That is when it got bad for me. Not inside. After.
I had been a Marine. I had done search and rescue and pulled people off roofs in water that had no business being where it was. I already knew you do not get to pick the conditions. You go anyway.
None of that prepared me for a quiet house and my own head.
I am going to say this plainly because men do not say it and it kills them.
I was not okay.
I did the thing men are trained their whole lives never to do. I said it out loud and I got help.
That did not make me weak. Sitting in it and letting it eat my family alive would have made me weak.
I am not going to pretend I handled all of it well. There were stretches where I acted like a coward. The only difference that has ever mattered is that I caught it in a week instead of a decade.
Everybody falls. Course correcting fast is the whole skill.
Here is what I actually came to tell you.
Rock bottom has a floor.
I checked. Personally. All the way down.
And the thing nobody mentions on the way down is that the floor is solid enough to build on. It holds weight. Everything I have now got built from down there, by a man who was not okay yet when he started.
You do not have to be healed to begin. You have to be honest, and you have to get up.
If you are reading this at 2 AM and it feels like the floor is not there, it is there.
Veterans Crisis Line. 988, then press 1.
I am not putting that here as a formality. I am putting it here because somebody needs to see it from a man who is still standing.
This is my pardon. Signed January 20, 2025. Certificate issued February 4.
I want to show you exactly what it fixed and what it did not, because people assume a document like this closes the book.
What it fixed: the conviction. Legally I am clear. That is real and I am grateful for it. President Trump did that, and I will say thank you for the rest of my life.
Here is what it did not fix.
It did not give back four years. Three in a federal cell and one on an ankle monitor where I was not allowed past my own front door. Fifteen months of that was solitary confinement. Eighteen hours in the cell and one hour out. Then thirty six hours in and one hour out.
It did not fix a family that had to learn how to live without me, and then had to learn how to live with me again.
It did not fix what fifteen months alone in a box does to a man's head.
And it did not touch the record. In December 2021 a federal judge said on the record that my due process rights were violated. Nobody has answered for that. Not one person lost a job. Not one person lost a pension.
A pardon is mercy. Mercy and justice are not the same thing. Both are good. Only one of them makes a system change how it behaves next time.
So I am building the other one.
I am putting the entire record online where it cannot be buried. Documents, transcripts, dates, names, the parts that make people uncomfortable. Not rumor. Not a podcast take. The paper itself.
That is the work. It costs money and hours I do not really have, and I am doing it anyway, because the next family this happens to should not have to start from zero the way I did.
If any of this matters to you, follow along and stay with me. Send it to somebody who still believes this only happens to other people.
I am not asking anyone to take my word for anything.
I am asking you to read the record.
Nobody tells you the war follows you home.
I was a Marine. Then I did Search and Rescue and pulled people off roofs in Houston during Harvey. Then I spent four years in federal custody over January 6. Fifteen months of that was solitary confinement. Eighteen hours in the cell, one hour out. Then thirty six hours in, one hour out.
Here is the part men do not say out loud.
I came home and I was not right.
I am not the same man who walked into that cell. Something in me got rearranged in there and it did not put itself back on its own. There were stretches where I was not a good husband, not a good father, not a good anything. I have acted in ways I am not proud of.
And here is what I want every man reading this to hear, because it is the entire reason I am writing it.
I got help.
I said the thing out loud that men are trained their whole lives never to say. I asked for help, I took it, and I course corrected. Not overnight. Not all the way. But it worked.
That did not make me weak. Sitting in it and letting it eat my family alive would have made me weak.
There is a lie in this country that a real man handles it alone. That lie has a body count. I have watched it take men who survived combat and survived the tier and could not survive the silence afterward.
So if you are a veteran, a first responder, a J6 guy, or just a man who has been carrying something heavy for years while telling everybody you are fine:
You are not broken. You are loaded down. Those are two different things and only one of them has a solution.
Go get the help. Then get back to work.
Veterans Crisis Line is 988, then press 1. Free and confidential.
I am still here. Still standing. Still building.
And I am not done.
Nobody warns you that the hardest part comes after you get out.
The cell has a schedule. Freedom does not.
I got help. I said the thing out loud that men are trained their whole lives never to say.
That did not make me weak.
Sitting in it and letting it eat my family alive would have.
Marine. Search and rescue. Father. Christian.
Federal defendant. Pardoned.
Every one of those is true at the same time.
People want you to pick one so they can file you away.
50 pounds of pure East Texas muscle and one hell of a family memory. 🎣
This is bigger than catching giant blue catfish. It is a Nichols family tradition built on time together, hard work, and stories that get better every time they are told.
Flathead & Ol’ Blue is coming.
Real water. Real catches. Real East Texas.
Sometimes a 13/0 hook ain’t big enough.
Who is ready for Season One?

Congress still has not released all the January 6 Capitol CCTV.
DC Police still have not released all the January 6 bodycams.
FBI informants who went in the Capitol testified under oath that they deleted January 6 videos they recorded.
I stood over Little Cypress Bayou and watched multiple large hoses pulling water out of it.
Not a trickle.
A full pump system, running in broad daylight.
No company name I could find.
No sign explaining what was happening.
No public notice or permit that I have located yet.
I am not accusing anyone. I am asking questions every person in East Texas deserves an answer to:
Who is taking this water?
Why are they taking it?
Who authorized it?
And what will it do to the bayou, the wildlife, and the people who live here?
Watch the video. Read what I found. Then share it with anyone who may know more.
East Texas belongs to the people who call it home. We deserve a straight answer.
