@NewsHawksLive#CA3 is not a backroom deal—it is the most debated and publicly engaged constitutional amendment in our history.
With overwhelming citizen input and broad parliamentary support, this is democracy in action. Institutions strengthened. Voices heard. Zim deciding its own future.
CA3 AMENDMENTS ADOPTED BY PARLIAMENT:• ZGC retained as an independent constitutional commission
• President empowered to appoint 10 expert Senators (with consultation)
• ZEC to oversee parliamentary election of e President
• New President of the Supreme Court role introduced
@citezw IAN Khama shld respect Zim's sovereignty instead of projecting his own political anxieties onto our processes.CA3 is being debated & decided through constitutional, democratic channels—not foreign commentary.Zim will determine their own governance framework, not retired leaders.
@matinyarare When your own allies expose the cracks in your narrative, the truth becomes difficult to hide.

On Tuesday the Senate will deliberate on the Constitution Amendment Bill No.3:
Senators will debate the main remaining parts of the bill, including the change to a seven year election cycle and switching to a parliamentary system to choose the President.
Constitutional Vote: The Senate will vote on the bill. To pass and become law, it needs a two thirds majority (at least 54 out of 80 senators). #CA3
