Club is dismantled by despot owner.
Club is punished for said owners actions.
Club are required to pay owner 25p in the pound, or
Club gets punished again.
Make it make sense. And what's with not allowing independent arbitration? Hmm.

@Dem_Blades3 The guy sold the team to try and keep afloat, admin was the last thing available to him. The blurry line is forcing the new owner to pay the man who was a bad owner in EFL's own eyes - he's banned from owning a club, why should he be paid?
@Neilcolclough Our team has been demolished, Chansiri is not buying the club back but we're been asked to pay the man who demolished the club back, under EFL guidance, or face yet further sanctions. Each case needs to be assessed on its own terms, as per the EFL's own rules
@o_dcfc It's really that simple. The other creditors could be paid 100% if he was ignored and the club would still be cheaper to buy and start to repair
@JohnBarrah4@GabSutton And that's part of the reason paying Chansiri anything back is a problem. He's by far the biggest creditor and skews the required amount beyond reasonable for the club you're buying. Remove the need to pay the previous owners failure and you could probably pay 100% to the others
The man who wants to rescue Sheffield Wednesday, American businessman David Storch, says he has been βinformed that a 15-point penalty is set to be imposed at the start of next seasonβ in League One. The outgoing owner Dejphon Chansiri should hang his head in shame at the damage he has inflicted on Sheffield Wednesday. He canβt have a conscience. Otherwise heβd accept a compromise on bid price.Β
The EFL should have been tougher with Chansiri quicker. The FA should remember it is supposed to be custodians of the game and protect clubs. The importance of an Independent Football Regulator, much delayed by vested interests, is highlighted again by events at Wednesday.Β
At the moment, the people being punished at Wednesday are fans, players, staff and the man who wants to save them. Shameful situation engulfing a historic club which could have been avoided with stronger leadership by the authorities. And Chansiri locating some principles. #SWFC
Surely at some point, incompetency and ignorance is replaced with a reflecting and common sense.
@EFL your rules and governance left an unfit owner to drive us into the ground. The same owner who is now protected by your guidance whilst we suffer #SWFC#fairdealforwednesday
