No, you don't get it.
He does not have $1 trillion sitting in cash, it is 99% stock in his companies.
To make that wealth liquid would mean selling all that stock which would swiftly destroy *both* the companies (Tesla, SpaceX, others) and the wealth. If he sold it all, he'd end up with maybe $100b max, several hundred thousand people would be out of work, the companies ruined and many of their suppliers also ruined.
Okay, but now Elon has $100b in cash, and can "solve the world's problems".
$100b divided by the world's 8 billion people is $12
If you were in charge, several of the most innovative industrial companies in the world would be destroyed, hundreds of thousands out of work, and space would again close to human civilization for another generation.
But everyone on earth could have one nice meal and you could revel in your altruism.
"so you bought another ape because you had to have it"
"yes dave"
"but you haven't told your family as they won't understand"
"that's correct dave"
"and you think that's a smart move?"

Some more context about Chinese ape community.
Actually, Chinese BAYC community has been a major force in the ecosystem since May 1st, 2021.
Back during the early bathroom pixel wars, Chinese apes occupied a massive section near the bottom. Some OGs probably still remember that mysterious gray area. ๐
A dedicated Chinese ape fund was later formed and accumulated 50+ BAYCs, including #7527, the legendary golden ape that still hasn't been sold to this day.
What many people outside China don't realize is that our social layer was never built on X. It has always lived inside private WeChat groups. Many of those groups have stayed maxed out for years.
A huge amount of BAYC, MAYC, and Otherside grails are quietly held by Chinese collectors as well. Some of the rarest assets in the ecosystem ended up in the hands of OG Chinese apes (@vis_eth , @haoxitong , @Keboqi etc.๏ผ
Many Chinese holders rarely X, but they tend to hold for an extremely long time. Chinese apes were never the loudest on X, but they've consistently been among the strongest holders.
The Chinese community also understands identity, social circles, and club culture on a very deep level. We simply express it differently.
So from our perspective, China isn't "waking up" to BAYC again. A lot of us simply never left.
What's changing now is that newer Chinese collectors are becoming more public, more social, and more willing to reconnect with the global club again. That's why Yuga's upcoming Asia roadshow could matter more than people expect.
And none of this reconnection happens without bridges like @veratheape. She's been doing the quiet work of keeping the Chinese and global communities linked, kudos to her, and to every ape helping make that happen.

Some are here for the Swamp, Others(for the)Side. I'm here because in 2020 I stanned @beeple who led me to back @mfigge in 2022 and as it happened, @yugalabs.
As an investor there's a joy I get from backing dreamers and doers; it's a value I can't count and I can't spend. I may wear my unicorns on my vest, but the joy of backing brilliant artists/founders and seeing them truly cook is the real halo. Money comes and money goes, but knowing that you got to help someone move the world a little bit...that's golden.
@BoredApeYC means much more than we think; @jeannievu and I spend a lot of time in the digital art world (@lacma, @rhizome), and it's clear that culture is the ultimate moat of humanity. What @mfigge and his incredible team are building will be the Bifrost of the digital culture realms and it's a joy to be a small part of its history. Personally can't wait for the BAYC Asia tour - that's a whole lot of people about to be re-introduced to Apes.
There are 46 golden apes, but this Angel Investor Ape tells my story. See you in the Clubhouse.
*Grateful to @grailsotc for making this happen.
Apes are adding a bag of ethereum:0x4d224452801aced8b2f0aebe155379bb5d594381 today and $APE had been up 6.53% in the last 24hrs
Why are apes so bullish on $APE rn?
Here are the main reasons:
1๏ธโฃ $APE is gonna be under Yuga for the 1st time ever. This means theyโll directly have a hand in the future of the token from now on
2๏ธโฃ ApeCo is to be dissolved. ApeCo was the centralized org that evolved from ApeCoin DAO, the decentralized body managing $APE. This marks the end of a marred history for the token and the club
3๏ธโฃ $APE will now be synced properly to the other 2 main Yuga pillars: BAYC & Otherside. This will make Yuga run like a well-oiled machine
4๏ธโฃ $APE being under Yuga means that $APE will be under Figge too. Given his track record with BAYC & Otherside so far, this is bullish af
Important Note: $APE emissions are now done. Meaning, all apecoin is now out there in the open. This is bullish too as no more major unlocks that may cause more dumping
Also, $APE is now deflationary too as $APE used as gas in Otherside gets burned
This is why I also added a bag of $APE today like other apes. NFA. DYOR.
In @mfigge we trust!!!
