CEO (Head of Finance and Administration), today appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Planning & Economic Development to present the Ministerial Policy Statement for FY 2026/27.
“As the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board responds to the increasing interest in gaming, its core mandate remains protecting the public from gaming harm.” Hon. Minister said
The Minister urged the Committee to support efforts to promote Responsible gaming and enhance public awareness about the potential risks of gaming.

Officials from @lgrb_uganda, led by the Senior Manager for Regulatory Compliance @RMuteesaasira, are participating in the 51st Task Force of Senior Officials Meeting in Arusha, Tanzania, alongside delegates from ESAAMLG member states , regional and international partners.
This participation enhances the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board's capacity to supervise and enforce compliance with AML/CFT regulatory requirements and align Uganda’s gaming sector with international standards.

#OperationMashineHaramu in Kamuli
Following intelligence led surveillance conducted by the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board together with @PoliceUg in Bukolobe Village, Kamuli District, uncovered an illegal gaming manufacturer.
A one Chen, a chinese manufacturer has been operating without a license from the Board. A court order was lawfully secured enabling a coordinated search at two locations in Bukolobe and Bunangwe, both linked to the suspect. Items recovered during the operation include 13 fish tables, 3 slot machines, 32 TV screens, 17 boxes of assorted spare parts and 5 generators.
The suspect is still at large, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend all individuals involved in this illegal gaming activity.
The @lgrb_uganda appreciates the citizens that reported this suspect and reiterates its commitment to eliminating illegal gaming operations and protecting the public from potential gaming harm.

@lgrb_uganda's Regulatory Compliance team is currently undertaking routine inspections across gaming premises in Kampala and the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area. These visits are a vital part of our mandate of regulating the sector and ensuring that all licensed operators fully adhere to the gaming law set forth by the Board.
By consistently monitoring compliance, we protect the interests of the punters, promote fair business practices, and strengthen public confidence in the gaming industry.

On the last day of the @aapg_muk and @Bigsolutionsgrp GIS training 2024, the participating students presented their assignments to BSG staff and their student leaders and received their certificates from our office in Wandegeya.
Students did a GPS data collection exercise around the university and came up with a map as one of the many exercises they carried out. @that_guy_Orach took the students through the exercise.
