@nicholelizaq@kingsfoolofaces@JonahDispatch And one can see how posting politically inflammatory ICE hype videos would cause the voters in MN to pressure their elected officials to refuse cooperation. You can go up the chain of causation as far as you'd like, the responsibility still lies chiefly with the two BP agents.
@symsonic@esrtweet@mischavdburg I don't use agents. I like programming and my job performance is fine, I don't see a reason to deprive myself joy just to make a project manager happy.
If one day I can't keep up, it'll become a hobby. The point of life shouldn't be maximizing productivity
@atomalom @OGVlonaldTrutin@captgouda24 I don't think we disagree, from a practical perspective it is incredibly stupid to bring a gun to a protest. But ideally that stupidity would not be a death sentence, and the administration should be making a commitment to improve training rather than reflexively defend the shoot
@Caffeindated@lthlnkso@IsabellaMDeLuca ? I never mentioned filming. It is entirely legal to follow cops around in public at a distance. It is entirely legal to alert others of police presence.
Blocking them would be illegal, but there is no evidence of him obstructing border patrol agents.
@LyamWitherow@notsoErudite He did not confront anyone. He did not cause trouble. He was not even under arrest. He stood off to the side and filmed police (legal) while carrying a concealed weapon (legal). Your advice, while practical, does not justify the shoot.
@Spaceball_One@JRGhaddar@ggreenwald And your enemies will not lose sleep when you are dead. The point of a government is to protect your rights regardless.
@OGVlonaldTrutin@captgouda24 Well, they didn't correctly deduce he was reaching for a gun, because he didn't have a gun. Had the officers been trained better, they would've known he was disarmed.
@BillAckman There will not be a detailed investigation, the administration will defend every ICE agent at all costs because any admission of guilt will hurt them politically.
