@thesamparr Sam, I think you’d really like the Tellason Ankara fit jeans. They’re the only raw denim I’ve found so far that fit dudes who squat 315. They do need to be cuffed or hemmed tho.
@thesamparr I’ve seen where Imogene turns the raw cotton and spins it into thread… it’s an incredible process - the people who know how to do it are 60 years old, and when they’re done in 5 years, I don’t know who will take it up. In 5 years you might not be able to even create that shirt
@pitdesi Dude, I lived in SF for 5 years and moved. Went back 2 years ago and still saw all the poop. Then went back last weekend and it was really nice. Zero poops. I kept saying to my friends who lived there that the city is coming back. They said “don’t tell anyone”
@willroman@ChisosBoots Yep, that all makes sense. My last thought is that western boot makers can potentially apply for exemption if you make the case that they’re handicraft - cowboy boots are one of the only true original American footwear styles. So could be something there
@willroman@ChisosBoots Other idea: continue sewing uppers in Mex, then Goodyear welt in USA basically how Thorogood does it? Would be much easier to train 2-3 people on RapidE machines that the entire process. Not sure if this mitigates cost at all tho
@willroman@ChisosBoots This might be a stupid question - but would moving your warehouse to Mexico and utilizing s.321 help? I know MexGov limited that for flowthru exports, but could it still work for individual shipments? Obv, you may not want to. Just curious your take.
