I think this is why I loved @jenniferabyrne1's analogy between career journey and night time driving.

"When you’re driving at night, you don’t need the entire sky lit up to get to where you’re trying to go. You just need your high beams to illuminate the road in front of you"

So the key in career navigation is to have a sense of the direction and to have an ability to figure out that next step that we think we need to focus on NOW.
