The USA spends $3 trillion per year on cars.

If we spent 20% of that on trains, buses, bike lanes, and walkable neighborhoods, we'd have nationwide, ubiquitous high speed rail, transit, and safe streets in 10 years.

And save *$ trillions* every year after that, forever.

@Txtofmormonism The saddest part about this is that most BYU students are probably in the most walkable, transit-rich phase of their lives.

Every BYU students has a free UTA pass and there's a rapid transit bus that runs along 3 sides of campus. There should be far fewer students with cars.
