Welcome April! Even barn cats are basking in the sun in early spring. This cat is 1 of 50 populating this Lancaster Co. farm. All have been 'fixed', fed twice a day and treated extremely well. This weekend will provide more sun with temps in the mid-50s. @LancFarming #Cats

Spring is still a few days away, but crocuses are popping up throughout the area. Temperatures in the 70s Friday and Saturday should tempt other spring flowers. The longest and most important use of the crocus is for saffron. @yorkcountypa #crocus

Did Yorkers feel neglected that winter had passed them by? Finally we found a few inches of snow (3-6) on the ground when we crawled out of bed today, the biggest snowfall of the season. This hiker drove from Annville to visit Gifford Pinchot Park. @yorkcountypa @PaStateParks

Sunday's record-breaking temperature of 74 degrees lured a lot of Yorkers out of their homes and into the wild. Fishing boats and jet skis commanded the Susquehanna River, while walkers visited the Long Level boat ramp area. Today's temps may near the record again. @yorkcountypa

Was expecting up to three inches of snow this morning, but woke up to a world of ice. School openings were delayed but by lunchtime the ice had dripped off the trees and temperatures nearly reached 50. @yorkcountypa #icestorm

What do you call Sunday's light, fluffy snow? York County's Richard M. Nixon Park is laced with short hiking trails winding through thick forests and over hills. The 2-3 inches of 'cotton candy' snow stuck to everything, making the day perfect for a scenic walk. @YorkCountyParks

With all the rain we've had lately, this Susquehanna River ice might not survive for long. This bald eagle had plenty of ice to rest upon Wednesday south of Wrightsville. After this warmup, temps will dive into the teens again Friday night. @yorkcountypa #Eagles
