@CrowtherSi@gordonpierce11@YVMatters@CediArticle@blimeysimon Our knowledge is grounded on CQC Inspection Reports, people's experiences and local newspapers.
There are issues throughout The UK. There are window areas of non compliance. Liverpool,Manchester, West Yorkshire, Kent,North East.
London too it would appear.
@YVMatters@CediArticle@gordonpierce11@blimeysimon Directors get first cut after Tax,Insurance.
Care homes I am led to believe if on debt don't pay corporation tax.
Don't hear Professor Green mentioning that one.
@blimeysimon@CediArticle@gordonpierce11@YVMatters@CMAgovUK It is the high cost of financial restructuring that is the fault. That and operating a high financial return in a short period. Or desiring to do so. Market required long term and smaller profit.
@blimeysimon@CediArticle@gordonpierce11@YVMatters@CMAgovUK Harsh business market world Simon out there.
Harsh facts commissioning has contributed greatly to the financial crisis in the care industry.
It was predicted it would from.the beginning.
Providers should pull.out just do self funders if they don't like the market.
@CediArticle@YVMatters@gordonpierce11@blimeysimon The problem Cedi is that while perfectly true care providers have to reinvest their profits. Because of constant financial restructuring the amount gets less and less.
@CediArticle@gordonpierce11@blimeysimon Yes. Sadly many making very healthy profit, some pleading poverty receiving their guaranteed/protected investment return, whilst Martin Green carries on banging his drum wanting more money. They wonder why Govt are listening, lies impacts on the genuine homes who struggle
@CrowtherSi@gordonpierce11@CediArticle@blimeysimon Many providers borrow money as investment with focus purely on making big returns, not delivering a quality service. I stand by my 'silly' comment. Enough credible economists have reported on this, yet the influencers in care continue to ignore it @AllysonPollock@bildenben
@CrowtherSi@gordonpierce11@CediArticle@blimeysimon The problem is many care providers do NOT reinvest in care facilities, some use it to pay off loans and some to increase their profit margins. Cutting corners to max profit is costing lives, focus is Profit not Care
@Judykyra @RichardatKF @JackieDP No one cares elderly ending their lives neglected & abused in #carehomes. A huge scandal they are trying to keep hidden @AlistairBurtUK
