@Kevin_Maguire We, in Scotland are not surprised by this. The reaction here is ‘again?’ We are used to abuse of the democratic system, like, when we vote for a referendum and the Westminster government of either colour, says no - we don’t want one so this is good enough for you.
@SaulStaniforth Overselling the story. Russia has tried to wander into Kiev and shoot children for 5 years and failed. If Europe would just get together we could get them out of Ukraine totally.
@resfoundation How much would be saved if the welfare system did not have to pay in-work benefits? This is effectively welfare for businesses who don’t pay their staff a wage that would allow them to live a reasonable life.
We hear about benefits to individuals, what about benefits for firms?
@Rik_w2010 If you had been born before 2024, then you would have known that the Tory government cut defence spending leading to the army being at the lowest level since Napoleonic times. Since you weren’t born before 2024, I forgive your lack of knowledge.
@griffitha How much do we, the taxpayers, pay in in-work benefits, so that the hospitality industry can continue to fleece their customers and employees?
@MelJStride@Conservatives@Telegraph With your experience of ramping up debt you should be experts. You could have in your manifesto a plan to get it up 200% of GDP.
@London_W4 Must be great for the people of Makerfield to be told by someone from London how they should cast their vote. After all the people of London know best what is good for us.
@Rachael2Win Did you call for an enquiry into VIP PPE contracts, fraud surrounding the furlough scheme and the 37£bn cost of test and trace in England? This was all public money lost down the back of a Tory settee.
