Fiduciary responsibility is one of the most important traits for trustees to understand. Having done the work these past 4 years, I know the weight that Dr. Hayek carries to make sure CVUSD is in tip-top shape. It would be devastating for this task to fall into the wrong hands.

Reading how Ojai Unified has gotten into financial trouble by failing to update methods, by lack of proper oversight, I am so proud to have worked alongside Dr. Hayek and the outstanding education leaders of @ConejoValleyUSD

One of my favorites to attend is the family reading night in March, where everyone attends in their pajamas and enjoys good books read by authors and actors. It is always an honor to be invited to participate in Aspen activities!

When I am at @aspenelem, it always feels like an enthusiastic partnership. It’s a team with many long-time teachers who have the experience of the rich culture of the school, complemented by teachers who may be earlier in their careers, but threaded right into the Aspen family.

There are even a couple teachers who attended Aspen themselves and working there truly feels like home. Aspen’s PFA works closely with the students and staff to plan such enthusiastic activities to make school feel like a cozy extension of home.
