After right-wing criticism over rising costs and delays, the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing now has a Dec. 2 completion date — a note of optimism for a region reeling from wildfires and more. https://t.co/zL1mBrWBhb
I’ve missed this. How glorious to have astronauts take us with them again to the moon—to remind us how vital it is to take care of our home and of each other. We can do important things. Together. TY @NASA
This project is fully backed by decades of science that show how critical this connection will be for wildlife and keeping drivers safe.
FACT: The cost estimate held until last year when inflation – in part driven by the federal administration’s tariffs – increased construction costs. The total price tag increase of 23% is still vastly lower than the 67% avg increase in highway construction costs nationally over the same time, per USDOT.
FACT: The timeline has shifted by just one year largely due to severe weather. With completion expected this year, five years of work is far from a “boondoggle.”
MAGA's outrage over a project that literally SAVES LIVES tells you everything!
This freeway project, grounded in decades of research, restores a critical wildlife corridor and reduces DEADLY collisions on one of the busiest highways in the country — protecting both drivers and animals.
FACT: The cost estimate held until last year when inflation — in part driven by TRUMP’s TARIFFS — increased construction costs. The increase is vastly LOWER than the 67% national average increase in highway construction costs.

Celebrating International Women’s Day with my ride or die colleague and friend, Lauren Gill. We both were honored to receive EmpowerHer awards at this wonderful event hosted by City of Agoura Hills - Government, Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, and Calabasas Chamber.
Dearest #RubyBridges: Thank you. >>> 65 years ago today, 4 federal marshals escorted 6-year-old Ruby Bridges to her 1st day of school (1st grade), as the 1st Black student to attend previously all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana. And today, there are legislators and school districts seeking to ban teaching on Ruby Bridges under the guise of banning “wokeness.” We have to stand so that they don’t whitewash U.S. and world history.
In 2016, we hosted the first P-22 Day Festival in Griffith Park to celebrate the remarkable P-22 and help people coexist with wildlife.
Now we are Celebrating 10 Years of the P-22 Day Festival! Wow!!!!!
Hope to see you on October 25 in Griffith Park!
For years I would sweep my arm as we drove on the 101 approaching Liberty Canyon and tell my family, “This is where we will build it.” Now we are progressing towards completion of the world’s most hopeful construction project #P22Legacy#SaveLACougars
Doing some filming at the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing this morning. Seeing the progress with stage 2 is so gratifying. Just one year until completion-wow!
TY for your patience as we begin the final stage of work on the world’s most hopeful construction project, the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing 💚 #p22legacy#SaveLACougars
