The 2026 Winter Olympics are more than halfway through. Medals have been awarded. Dreams have been realized. Hearts have been broken. Moments have already become history.
And while the world has been watching the races, routines, and results… there’s a deeper story unfolding.
What we’re seeing now didn’t start two weeks ago. It started years ago — in quiet places.

As athletes step into the gates, onto the ice, and into the tracks this week, 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆:
•The routines
•The races
•The results
What 𝒘𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒆:
• The 5 a.m. alarms
• The lonely rehab sessions
• The seasons they didn’t qualify
• The doubts they had to overcome
• The practices when no one was clapping
We just tuned in. They’ve been building toward this for a decade.

You’re not just watching competition. You’re watching consistency.
You’re watching people who kept showing up when:
• It wasn’t glamorous
• It was hard
• It wasn’t guaranteed
The confidence on display right now? It was built in repetition.
Not hype. Not comparison. Not overnight belief. Steady. Daily. Intentional work.

When your child says, “I want to be there one day,” remember: This isn’t about pushing toward a podium. It’s about helping them build:
• Discipline
• Identity
• Resilience
• Perspective
Very few athletes leave with medals. But every athlete leaves shaped by the journey.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞
Cheer loudly. Celebrate greatness. But notice the body language.
Notice the composure. Notice the reset after mistakes. The most powerful Olympic moments aren’t always gold medals.
They’re the moments when:
• Someone regroups after a fall.
• A teammate lifts another.
• An athlete competes free instead of tight.

Right now, in Milan and Cortina, we’re watching: Preparation meeting pressure. And here’s the truth the Olympics are showing us in real time: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓. 𝑰𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒊𝒕. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒄𝒆? 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.
Trump: You don't need reservoirs. You have reservoirs because you are trying to hold water. You have natural water coming down along the coast, for a million years it has been coming.

This might be a weird thing to say. But of all the clips we’ve taken out from our podcast, I hope this one is the most shared. TBH this is an absolute MUST listen from performance coach Jason Podollan.

Wayne Gretzky, on his concern on the stifling creativity in today’s young players:
“What we’ve lost is playing on the pond and just going out there and using your creativity and your imagination… learning how to make funny plays and good plays and creative plays. And we’ve lost that imagination and creativity that we had in the 60s and 70s and 80s.”
BREAKING: In a stunningly stupid announcement, Donald Trump just said that in order to lower costs, he will impose a $3,900 tax hike on middle-income Americans. This is as unpopular as it is stupid. Retweet so all Americans see this.
Every year on 9/11, I watch ESPN's "The Man in the Red Bandana," which tells the story of Welles Crowther, a former college lacrosse player who saved a dozen people in the South tower.
If you've never seen this, take 13 minutes and watch it now.
