Jack Smith: If you talk about the pardons of these people convicted for the violence on January 6th, right? There's all sorts of costs. There's the obvious cost of recidivism. These are people who committed their crimes in the name and in the interest of Donald Trump, and he's returned the favor by pardoning them. That sends one message to them, a message I'm equally concerned about is the message that it sends to law enforcement. Supporting law enforcement should not be a political issue. It should not be a Republican, Democrat, red blue thing.

Trump had a hypomanic episode last night. Post after post after post. Short posts. Memes. Reposts. His gut is a simmering stew of agitation, rage, and desperation. His malignant pathologies rule him, projecting his feelings outward.
What he feels primarily, is fear. So, he fearmongers.
What he also feels, is time running out. So his focus on mortality leads him to Jesus and the Pope and his focus on legacy leads him to monuments.
By any medical, psychological, neurological, or objective common-sense standard, he's ill. Very ill. And he has a NEW fear now - losing his mind - his acuity. He hates himself for it. He hates the chorus of people calling him unhinged, and he hates any suggestion that he can't do exactly what he wants to do, all the time.
Neither you nor I can EVER feel the kind of desperation and rage Trump feels now. This is a man terrified that all that he is, and all that he ever said he was - his entire lifetime of secrets and lies and false constructs - is crumbling into the ash of a fake myth.
Malignant narcissists always get worse. Trump is a malignant narcissist in a deep and steep decline.
