Well said Beth. Joseph was only 17 when he was sold & taken to Egypt. I think of myself at 17. Yikes. Then it was 13 long lonely years as a slave & in prison. Yet when it was all done he was merciful to his brothers & in faith affirmed this was all God’s doing. Lessons learned.

@timkellernyc 2/2 Being a student of the Bible and talking about Biblical issues doesn’t in and of itself justify or condemn anyone. It is important and essential, however. Whether it is godly and promotes God’s purposes or not is a much more incvolved discussion.

@timkellernyc 1/2 Satan is a student of the Bible. He even quoted Scripture when tempting Jesus. Jewish leaders who were students of the Bible & asked Jesus questions on Biblical topics had an agenda & were trying to entrap Him.
