It’s the five-year anniversary of Zack Wheeler throwing a complete-game shutout on the day the Phillies retired Roy Halladay’s No. 34. It was one of those things in baseball you couldn’t script better.
@PhilsTailgate Is there ever a conversation that taking at bats against a lefty can enhance your focus on mechanics and actually benefit you when hitting righties?
@JackFritzWIP Do you also not think this team was constructed primarily to put people in the seats during the summer (streaky exciting power)? Not built for October unfortunately.
@JackFritzWIP GM's should not be judged off massive contract signings. Once a foundation is laid and a destination is desirable, these deals essentially sign themselves. Dave, just like Pat Gillick should be judged off marginal moves to make a team incrementally greater (Feliz, Eyre etc.)
