@JemNicoleRN Yes I imagine plenty of responsible staff will remain wearing masks, which of course are mostly to project others, not the wearer (that being why they're worn in surgery). 1 in 5 Covid infections are caught in hospital. No "alternative" to hospital if that's where you have to be.

Do you mean nothing needs explaining to patients?? And isn't it possible that *you* will give a patient Covid? Or am I missing something ?

@VATskills @NHSuk @NHSEngland @EveryDoctorUK Not that anything needs explaining to you, but our emergency patients sit side by side with non-emergent elective patients, so the majority of staff are around emergency patients without a mask on as they are caring for their elective cases.

@JemNicoleRN To summarise, @NHS staff can choose mask protection from airborne Covid infection by patients. But patients (emergency ones likely to be vulnerable) can't choose protection, because NHS frontline staff can a)refuse to wear masks & b) refuse vax. I take back all my 👏 Have 🖕

@CrimeGirI Just read your heartbreaking thread. I wonder if Ben undiagnosed ADHD. My child is just like this - can't foresee a consequence until its imminent. If so, in exec function terms, Ben is 2/3 his actual age ie c10yrs. Tragic
