~80% of the world’s hard-rock #lithium comes from #Archean#pegmatite whose formation is not fully understood. Work by Smithies et al. shows the importance of crustal boundaries and hydrous mantle-derived magma from deep metasomatized lithospheric domains.

I’m a big believer of good science communication. However, science communication as a career has been taken over by those seeking glory and fame on social media. Some communicators are very good, but most are not and resort to hyping things up to get clicks. The bad ones, and there are many, have eroded trust in science. AI does a much better job than most professional science communicators now. The best ones of course will survive.
