This is a terrific thread. Knowing yourself is key to all the rest. For me, when something goes against me it is important that I DO lose a bit of sleep (just not for more than a day or three) otherwise it tells me I’m not taking enough risk (and maybe not learning the lessons). Likewise, a winner needs to come with a bit of euphoria. Undersizing a winner is just as bad as oversizing a loser for MY personality.

No, I do not forgive Frum and I have tried hard at the forgiveness thing of late. I understand, and don’t completely disagree with your view, but these three men still salted the earth that Obama had to preside over and if that had not happened…. I mean alternatate histories could be much worse! But also potentially much better in my view thus my animosity for those who definitely made it worse.

Met a guy at the bar last night that works as a long-haul trucker. He said he's barely getting by. The Iran War has pushed up his fuel costs. His back hurts, but he has no healthcare. Even worse, AI might automate his job. I put my hand on his shoulder and said "Donald Trump has a poll on whether we should rename Artificial Intelligence to Superior Intelligence."
