Worshippers inside Masjid al-Aqsa were forced to enter either the Dome of the Rock or Musalla al-Qibli while settler incursions were taking place.

This ensured that there was no visual contact between worshippers and the settlers and prevented Muslims from documenting or filming what was happening.

Anyone caught filming could be arrested, forced to delete the footage or have their phone confiscated.

Despite these two layers of media restriction, Jerusalemite media platforms found another way.

During 2024 and 2025, they sent photographers to the Mount of Olives to photograph the incursions into Masjid al-Aqsa from outside.

THE THIRD STAGE

Then came the third stage.

On 23 February 2026, the occupation government simultaneously banned five Jerusalemite media platforms:

Al-Quds Compass, Al-Asima Network, Quds Plus, Mi'raj and Midan al-Quds.

This effectively ended the presence of specialised media networks dedicated to covering Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa.

The ban came shortly before the closure of Masjid al-Aqsa during the Zionist-American war on Iran.

That closure lasted 40 days, imposed by a decision of the Israeli “Home Front”, and established a dangerous precedent in imposing the occupation’s claimed sovereignty over Masjid al-Aqsa.

TODAY, THE REALITY HAS BEEN EXPOSED

Today, as Hebrew media platforms themselves refrain from displaying their aggression against Masjid al-Aqsa because of the fast, the extent of the Arab and Muslim world’s inability to document the condition of one of its holiest Masjids has been laid bare.

We cannot even transmit a single image from inside Masjid al-Aqsa at a time when settlers are being given free rein inside it.

The official Arab establishment is fully aware of this failure.

That is why the only practical decision to emerge from the *expanded ministerial meeting of the foreign ministers of 14 Arab and Muslim countries in Amman on 5 August 2026* was the decision to:

“Establish a media platform to document violations against the holy places and worshippers.”

Yet that decision has still not become a reality.

It has done nothing to prevent the situation we are witnessing today, where the Muslim world is unable to produce even a single image from one of its holiest Masjids while settlers enter it and are left alone inside it.

AFTER SUNSET, THE IMAGES WILL COME

After sunset today, images of settler incursions into Masjid al-Aqsa will begin to flood out.

They will most likely include footage documenting the blowing of the shofar inside our Masjid al-Aqsa, perhaps several times.

But those images will not appear because we succeeded in breaking this media blackout.

They will not appear because the 14 Arab and Muslim countries that met in Amman managed to transmit a single image from inside Masjid al-Aqsa.

They will appear because the Jewish fast has ended.

They will appear because the organisations campaigning around the so-called “Temple” will once again begin openly displaying their aggression against Masjid al-Aqsa.

Their fast has exposed yet another level of our inability to document what is happening.

How long will we accept this?

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR US IN THE UK?

The blackout itself should teach us something.

When the occupation works to prevent Muslims from seeing what is happening inside Masjid al-Aqsa, our response cannot be to allow Masjid al-Aqsa to become distant from our own lives.

- Learn about Masjid al-Aqsa.
- Speak about it.
- Teach your families about it.
- Keep its cause alive in our masajid and communities.
- Support those who document and defend it.

🎯 And whenever you are able, be sure to visit and frequent Masjid al-Aqsa.

After much reflection, and after it became clear to me that some UN seniors are serving a powerful lobby and not the UN, I have decided to suspend all my duties as PVA Main Representative at the UN and from all UN committees/groups of which I am a member.

I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.

This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war.

Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons.

I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late.

Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.

پاکستانی یونیورسٹیوں میں اسکالرشپ حاصل کرنے والے درجنوں فلسطینی طلباء اس وقت غزہ میں محصور ہیں۔ اسرائیلی بمباری اور رفح بارڈر کی بندش کے باعث یہ طلباء پاکستان پہنچنے سے قاصر ہیں۔ ہم نے غزہ میں موجود چند ساتھیوں کے تعاون سے اُن طلباء کی فہرست مرتب کی ہے جنہوں نے اسکالرشپ حاصل کی، لیکن موجودہ حالات کے باعث پاکستان نہیں آ سکے۔

اس اسکالرشپ پروگرام کے تحت منتخب ہونے والے ڈیڑھ سو سے زائد طلباء میں سے اب صرف چند ہی زندہ بچے ہیں۔ کئی ہفتوں کی مسلسل کوشش کے بعد ہم 66 طلباء کے مکمل کوائف اکٹھا کرنے میں کامیاب ہوئے ہیں۔مزید کے کوائف حاصل کرنے کی کوشش بھی کر رہے ہیں۔

ہم حکومتِ پاکستان سے پُرزور اپیل کرتے ہیں کہ ان طلباء کو بچانے اور ان کا تعلیمی مستقبل محفوظ بنانے کے لیے فوری اقدامات کیے جائیں:
•مصری حکومت سے رابطہ کر کے رفح یا کریم ابو سالم کے ذریعے ان طلباء کی محفوظ نقل و حرکت کو ممکن بنایا جائے۔
•ان طلباء کو پاکستان کے ویزے فراہم کیے جائیں۔
•اسکالرشپ یا ویزے سے متعلق کسی بھی قانونی پیچیدگی کو ان کے پاکستان آنے کی راہ میں رکاوٹ نہ بننے دیا جائے۔

یہ وقت ہمارے فلسطینی نوجوانوں کو اُن کا تعلیمی مستقبل دینے اور انسانیت کا ساتھ دینے کا ہے۔ ممکن ہے یہ ان کے لیے تعلیم جاری رکھنے کا آخری موقع ہو

Tunisian activists participating in the Maghreb “Fleet of Steadfastness,” currently detained by Israeli authorities, have declared an open-ended hunger strike in protest against their arbitrary arrest and the prevention of their solidarity mission to Gaza.
