Look the reason it’s good for kids public schools to know the Bible is the same reason it’s good they know Homer; it’s an important part of the Western canon and a vital piece of the catechesis that creates cultural literacy necessary for liberal democracy. This isn’t hard.
I don’t care if it has a “spiritual benefit.” I want a social catechesis where people know who Goliath and Moses are, and why they’re bad and good, and why the have a bearing for how Westerners understand law and order. Quit making everything church.

Also, the relatively spotty coverage of Liu who rejected the communists to compete for the US is mind numbing. We cannot make proper judgments anymore.
The darling-ification of Eileen Gu who openly critiques the USA (where she was raised, trained, and educated) while she plays for a communist country who has committed genocide against the Ugyhurs is a snapshot of everything I despise of modern-day news.
