According to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, when Eid and Jumu’ah fall on the same day, there is a concession.
The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever attends the Eid prayer is permitted not to attend Jumu’ah, but the Imam should still hold Jumu’ah for those who want to come.

The Companion Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Two Eids have come together on this day of yours. So whoever wishes, it will be enough for him (i.e., Eid prayer instead of Jumu’ah), but we will still perform Jumu’ah.”
