if by sidechat you mean /btw or similar then no, your suggestions wouldn't apply
I use /btw when a task is taking too long and I want to ask for something done at some point in time for example, it's like a incognito chat that I just need a quick answer from and forget about it, if it's being used for more than information retrieval like branching out ideas etc then yeah you are better off forking
nah this is good, cuz once a thread is working I kinda delete it mentally from my mind until it's done or until it needs my input, so it fits quite well
though if the work being done is fast or it's a really fast model, I think there might be quite a lot of hiding and popping of the threads? so maybe a toggle inside the thread itself with default to hide? or smth else idk
@bubbleboi i was just searching today how to create smth similar to muse charm lmao, this is really a good direction, muse charm + local fast LLMs will be so helpful imo
pretty sure frontiers are currently working on their own gadgets, not sure if they will offer open source stacks tho
