Operations take whatever length of time they take, and none of people asking how much longer you’ll be are going to be there afterward to manage postoperative complications or explain to the patient what went wrong.
If you are the kind of patient who asks a doctor for his/her personal phone number remember these things
1. You are not entitled to your doctor’s personal number. Be prepared to take no for an answer
2. In case the doctor gives you their number, it implies a gentleman’s agreement - that you don’t share it with someone else without their express permission
3. Adding a doctor your family/friends WhatsApp group is utterly unacceptable. Your doctor is not your family
4. Sending silly Goodmorning messages is counterproductive
5. Do not, under any circumstance, call at odd hours. “I thought it is an emergency” is a poor excuse - no emergency can be handled on phone. Go to the nearest hospital.
What I’m good at:
- hyponatremia
- pneumonia
- sepsis
- heart failure
What my family asks me about:
- ear itch
- boob pain
- random rashes
- “am I farting too much?”
In cancer care, use of alternative medicine is associated with decreased survival.
39% of people in the US believe that alternative medicine such as dieting, herbs, and vitamins can cure cancer without the use of standard cancer treatments.
Not good.

I don’t know who needs to hear this , but sharing personal phone numbers of other doctors with your patients, without their express consent is bad manners. Doctors who do this should grow up.
Thers something they dont teach in med school
Accept limitations of medical science and learn how to let go of a patient compassionately, providing for a dignified death
It is far more rewarding than dragging the patient to a certain death and the family through financial gloom

When you follow a leader, consider what would lead you to withdraw your support.
If the answer is nothing, your integrity is in jeopardy. Your highest loyalty belongs to principles, not people.
No leader deserves unconditional love. Commitment is earned through character.
Hi,
I have a teeny tiny request. When you get to know that a friend/family member is taking meds for a psychiatric disorder, pls pls don't say that you should try to get better on your own and not "depend" on meds. This one line has caused so much harm to so many

@Jasonphilip8 I disagree with the others. This is not about money. It's slavery with a few extra steps. I wouldn't give up my personal freedom no matter what the price tag is
There is lot of buzz regarding new drug ‘Dostarlimab’ for carcinoma rectum patients
I have following points from my side for clarification.
1. This is more of sensational news and far from real truth at least today.
